WWEM 2014 Conference

The International Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring conference and exhibition 2014 will take place between the 5th and 6th November. It’s the sixth conference in its series of successful environmental monitoring events, and will be held at the Telford International Centre.

The first day of the conference will be focused on the monitoring aspects of industrial and municipal monitoring. This will include presentations by senior individuals from the Environment Agency, CSA-Sira, WRC and Siris Environmental.

The second day has been organised by the British Measurement and Testing Association. On this day, the conference will address some key issues regarding sampling and laboratory analysis.

Presentations will be made by speakers from the national accreditation body, UKAS, large water companies and commercial laboratory-based organisations. The presentations will address many issues, such as proficiency testing, the UKAS document TPS 47, the lowering of detection limits, good sampling protocols, mobile data capture and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Delegates will also be provided with access to over 80 workshops, a flow demonstration area, forums on flow and SMART water, and an exhibition that will feature more than 130 stands representing more than 250 of the world’s leading providers of test and monitoring equipment and related services.

Overall, visitors will learn about:

  • Techniques

  • Technologies

  • Methods

  • Standards and

  • Regulatory requirements relating to monitoring that takes place on-site and in the laboratory.

The Telford International Centre is located in Shropshire, England. Pre-registered visitors are provided with free on-site parking, as well as a complimentary lunch and refreshments.

The conference will cost £55, and registration is free of charge. Pre-registered visitors are also given access to the exhibition and workshops.
